What is Industrial Design?
I get asked this a lot.
Here's some additional background for those who'd like to know more.
Good Day:
Offering Senior experience in many disciplines, structural and graphic; product design, package design, user interface, design/marketing communication, illustration; projects for firms from Fortune 500 companies to boutique design studios.
My design approach is objective driven, usually with a less is more approach - with proven creative instincts that result in successful solutions that benefit your business.
I have managed creative groups within both Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized marketing communication/design, and hi-tech software firms, including my own package design/marketing communications firm which I managed for nearly a decade.
- As an experienced design/marketing communications person, I utilize strategic marketing methods (critical path) based upon solid marketing objectives (and instinct) in tackling consumer packaged goods/marketing collateral projects. Generally with clean, less is more, approaches.
- As an Industrial Designer, I bring logical application of HFE - human factors/ergonomics to user interface, user experience, engineering, et. al., and am at ease with most technical and medical jargon. I read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. with facility and visualize 3D easily.
Written and verbal skills. I find it easy to translate the difficult or arcane into common language. Writing projects include the conception/writing of advertising, technical publications, white papers, scripts for commercials, and corporate presentations.
Comfortable on both Mac or PC platforms, proficient with business/creative software - Adobe CC 2019, (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.), Blender 3D, and many others - Word, Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel.
I use Blender 3D for three dimensional projects, interiors, exteriors, products, machinery, packaging comps and/or other 3D views. SKUs for Kwikee, etc.
